Michelin Defender LTX M/S Highway Tire The LTX M/S delivers excellent All-Season traction, predictable handling, and long-lasting wear. Michelin’s Highway All-Season light truck tire, the Defender LTX M/S combines long tread life with all-season potential for vans, pickups and sport utility vehicles. (The LTX M/S is also recommended for shuttles, commercial vans, and chassis cab vehicles using heavy-duty/light-truck sizes.) It blends a smooth, quiet ride with year-round traction in wet, dry, and wintry conditions including light snow. The new Defender LTX M/S improves upon the popular Michelin LTX M/S2. They both share the same highly functional tread pattern, while offering improvements in wear life/longevity to better meet the demands of modern trucks. However, the Defender LTX M/S is designed to be stronger for an extended amount of time. Featuring Michelins Evertread compound, the Defender LTX M/S tires feature an advanced compound that effectively resists wear and tear, even when exposed to heavy loads and severe road conditions. The molded compound of symmetric tread design features stable independent tread blocks with high-density 3-D Active Sipes delivering all-season traction on dry roads as well as in tempestuous weather. Wide circumferential channels, open shoulder slots, and multiple lateral grooves gives water expulsion to improve wet traction and stopping performance. The tire features Michelin’s MaxTouch Construction that enables a contact patch to promote reliable traction and long wear.
